Boho, Earthy Wedding in Leavenworth, Washington

Chelsea and Nolan met while attending Physical Therapy School. After the two started dating, Nolan, originally from Florida, relocated to Western Washington to be with Chelsea. The two love the outdoors and quickly found that Washington felt like home. Leavenworth, this German-inspired, mountain town nestled in the Central Cascades served as the perfect backdrop to show off their home state to their friends and family from all over the United States.

The bride and groom wrote each other emotional letters to each other stating their hopes, promises, and reflections on their journey as a couple so far, which they read before seeing each other for their first look. Their first look took place on the banks of Lake Wenatchee, just a mile from their venue at Browne Family Homestead. During their ceremony, their officiant and friend chose to share the Cherokee Wedding Prayer, centering the couple and their witnesses before they made their commitments. Finally, Chelsea and Nolan held nothing back on the dance floor. Their guests joined them for one of the most energetic and joyful nights of dancing and singing together.

Wedding and Elopement Photo & Video Team

One of my favorite things about this wedding was that I got to work with my dear friend Lexi, as the photographer. Lexi and I met a few years back after both of us relocated our lives and elopement businesses to Seattle. Lexi is one of those people that feels like a kindred soul. Soon after meeting for the first time we were camping, climbing and hiking together whenever we could. Having similar values and passions in our work, we recently release a photo & video package together. After getting to work together on so many weddings and elopements, like this Fall wedding in Leavenworth, we believe that we create some of our best work while shooting alongside one another. Lexi is an incredible photographer, but also an emotionally intelligent , reflective human that helps you slow down in the moment and feel everything you’d want to feel on your wedding day. Our hope is that our joint clients can feel invited into our friendship on their wedding day — that they aren’t just getting two vendors but dear friends who want to join together in serving them well.
