Jessica & Roark’s Intimate Greenhouse Wedding
I first met Jessica & Roark back in high school, as our circles of friends crossed every once in a while. After I officially went full-time into running my photography business, Jess & Roark were some of the first people that reached out. We reconnected over coffee in Portland and I took their engagement photos on a rooftop in the city. Soon after, they booked me to photograph their wedding as well. Of course, the pandemic caused them to change their original wedding plans and they ended up eloping at this beautiful Mt. Adams getaway house with just their closest family and friends and moved their wedding reception to the following year.

In the year that followed their elopement, they had their sweet baby girl Wren. I had the privilege of taking their maternity photos at Northlight studio in Seattle. By this point, Jess & Roark were quickly becoming more than just clients, but felt like friends to my husband Nathan and me.

Greenhouse Wedding Reception
When the time finally came to celebrate their wedding in October, the two had seen the potential that this all glass greenhouse Roark’s grandpa had sitting on their property near the foothills of the Blue Mountains had. They cleaned it up and hired Kasey D Weddings to work her magic on bringing their Greenhouse wedding vision to life.

This greenhouse wedding holds a special place in the course of my photography journey because I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jessica and Roark through the last two-plus years. I was there for their engagement session, Mt.Adams elopement due to COVID, thier maternity photos, and lastly to celebrate this beautiful greenhouse wedding with them. There’s something unique, captivating even, about getting the opportunity to create for people you’ve spent a lot of time with, and watched grow over the years. This is the at the root of what I hope to do- become a photographer for all stages of your life. Each season holds something special and it is a joy to capture every part of it so you can look back on those milestones and see the beauty that was within each of them.
